Job Description:
- Looking for a Sr Packaging Engineer to assist with leading current project. Will be on team calls, connecting with suppliers, plan trials. Consistent email communication / updates with team. This person will be doing trials / qualification of packaging components. This person will be reviewing WHAT tests they should be doing, not doing the tests, they have a lab team to do testing. Connecting with lab to set up testing plans. Making sure specifications are correct, general packaging PM / project engineer activities including reviewing data, meeting with project team. Connect with suppliers to do plant trials, provide updates, execute trials and qualifications of packaging components, connect with lab to set up testing plans, materials supplier conversations.
- Write what expectations are of the trial, aligning with manufacturing team to meet those requirements and gather what is needed from other departments. This consultant will report to and meet with packaging manager. They need someone who can access a good logical plan for the project, the PM will be having regular reviews with the consultant.
Skills:
- Someone who has done packaging projects, project engineer, working cross functional, test / qualification of components, doing plan trials in manufacturing sites , writing specifications, meeting / evaluating suppliers. NOT a packaging tester. Prefers consumer packaged goods background, food would be better. Consumer goods is faster paced, so not looking for sole pharma.
Education:
- Experience outweighs degree. Degree or Minor in packaging is a plus
