At Black Diamond Networks, Training Site Managers play a vital role in guiding and developing interns throughout their program. Serving as the primary leaders for everything intern-related, they interview prospective interns, make hiring decisions, and oversee daily operations and performance. Their leadership ensures that each intern receives the structure, coaching, and feedback needed to succeed.
LEADING INTERN DEVELOPMENT
Training Site Managers lead comprehensive training sessions that introduce interns to the core responsibilities and best practices of both the Recruiting and Account Executive positions. Through consistent mentorship and performance monitoring, they set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and help interns build the foundation for long-term success.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
Each day begins with helping interns structure their schedules and focus areas. For interns training as Recruiters, Training Site Managers guide them in selecting positions to work on and assist with building Boolean search strings to source qualified candidates. For Account Executive interns, they collaborate on identifying potential companies, finding new managers to contact, and developing outreach strategies.
Throughout the day, Training Site Managers provide ongoing feedback following intern calls, reviewing tone, structure, objection handling, and communication. They also meet with interns to review progress, assess performance, and identify specific areas for growth.
TOOLS THAT SUPPORT SUCCESS
TargetRecruit, Call Coaching, and Zoom are key tools in this role. Call Coaching provides the ability to give live feedback on intern calls, highlight effective communication, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Zoom acts as a virtual office for remote interns, maintaining real-time communication and team connection through an all-day meeting. This setup helps create an inclusive environment that mirrors the in-office experience.
ADVICE FOR FUTURE TRAINING SITE MANAGERS
Success in this role comes from a strong passion for mentorship and professional development. Training Site Managers must proactively guide interns through their day-to-day responsibilities, set clear expectations, and communicate effectively. Delivering feedback in a direct yet supportive way helps interns understand expectations and how to continue improving.
BUILDING THE FUTURE
Through structure, mentorship, and hands-on leadership, Training Site Managers play an essential part in developing future talent at Black Diamond Networks. Their guidance helps interns build skills, confidence, and a foundation for success — supporting the continued growth of both the individuals they mentor and the organization as a whole.
