Job Scope:
Our client needs help with manufacturing engineering. They have multiple production lines that require modifications. The scope would include conveyor layouts, fixturing, etc. The person must be proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks and have a strong mechanical engineering background. It would be at least a 6–8-month project. Transfer products from legacy lines to new lines. Need to do modifications for (minimal manufacturing Engineering and mechanical engineering on some of them). Conveyors, fixturing. Implementing, overseeing, then turn over to validation team.
3 legacy lines to decommission. Then 2 big lines. 8-9 months for decommissioning. ~ dozen products on each line
The projects will be:
- Create and install a universal packaging line for legacy products
- Develop manufacturing processes from formulation to packaging for products that will not transfer to existing lines
- Conveyor layouts – packaging equipment – fillers – pharma/device – fix string
- Mechanical engineering and SolidWorks experience. Production manufacturing experience
Project – Legacy line product transfers:
- This will include line modifications, manufacturing engineering processes, engineering documentation, and assistance with IOQ generation.
- Move 4 Head products to 8 Head and 12 Headlines.
- Move BAM products to HSFL and HVFL.
- Move 16 Head products to HSFL and HVFL.
- Create a semi-automatic fill line to accommodate low volume products.
- Manufacturing Design – Automation Lines (Not product design)
Qualifications:
- Experience in designing automation lines, including fillers and cappers.
- Responsible for assessing existing lines, upgrading equipment, and purchasing new machinery.
- Hands-on role, managing installation and commissioning.
- Should be familiar with commissioning processes.
- Will collaborate with an existing validation specialist for support.
- Strong background in automation design for manufacturing environments.
- Mechanical Engineering background (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
