Job Description:
Our client is currently looking for Instrumentation/Electrical Calibration Techs to assist with maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of instrumentation controls including low voltage and 480V systems. The facility is a chemical manufacturing plant containing raw materials, nitrobenzene, hydrous ammonia, etc. with equipment such as flow pumps, motor circuits and other related equipment. The resource will shadow an existing technician for 2-4 weeks while working on instrumentation calibrations, equipment repairs/troubleshooting, failure analysis and improvements on equipment reliability. Selected resources will be expected to have experience with calibrating a pressure, level, flow and temperature transmitters to provide an accurate output.
Additional tasks will also involve:
- Analyze equipment failures, collaborate with supervisors, and ensure top-notch repairs.
- Utilize Maximo (CMMS) to manage work orders and keep detailed documentation.
- Promote a safe work environment by following protocols and wearing PPE.
- Support training programs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electrical & instrumentation controls (low voltage and powerful 480V systems).
- Working with AC and DC control circuits, VFD, 480 Volt MCC’s (motor control centers), thermocouples, RTD’s, etc.
Must carry experience working in large-scale industrial manufacturing facilities such as chemical plants, oil/gas, etc. This is a NOT an aseptic, cleanroom or lab manufacturing plant. This is a large industrial plant that will require PPE such as safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed boots, etc.
