Description:
Client is seeking a contract Technical Writer to develop procedural and qualification documentation for a new building expansion for the purpose of packaging and warehousing pharmaceuticals. This role will work closely with site Quality, Validation, Operation and project personnel to create SOPs protocols, reports and other deliverables specific to the new building project, maintenance and operations.
Duties:
- Working closely with validation, quality, and project work stream leads, the contract Technical Writer will author the following deliverables:
- Major Duties
- Determine the needs of users of technical documentation.
- Study product samples and talk with product designers and developers.
- Work with technical staff to make products and instructions easier to use.
- Write or revise supporting content for products.
- Edit material prepared by other writers or staff.
- Incorporate animation, graphs, illustrations, or photographs to increase users’ understanding of the material.
- Select appropriate medium, such as manuals or videos, for message or audience.
- Standardize content across platforms and media.
- Collect user feedback to update and improve content.
- Document scanning into SharePoint.
- Master Document file and folder management (word and PDF copies).
- Document filing notifications (emails/spreadsheets).
- Procedures and other documents specific to the manufacturing system assigned.
- Qualification protocols specific to the manufacturing system assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Technical degree preferred
- A Technical writer with packaging and warehouse storage knowledge is preferred.
- A technical writer with overall operation experience is preferred as this is a new facility expansion.
Experience:
- Minimum five years GxP experience
- SOP development
- Manufacturing technical writing experience
- Operation or facility experience
- These additional experiences are a plus:
- Veeva Document Management Experience.
