Description:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and organize information for hardware and software documentation.
- Ensure technical accuracy in all content development processes.
- Perform software installations to verify that release candidates include required documentation.
- Validate integration with other installed help files.
- Work closely with other Technical Writers to maintain compliance with department-specific processes and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to brand, voice, and style guidelines, including correct spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 4-8 years of technical writing experience in a high-tech environment.
- Content Development: Expertise in creating modular, reusable content for complex online help systems (CHM and PDF files).
- Editing: Strong experience in editing for consistent voice and style.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple documentation projects with flexibility and a positive attitude.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and process adherence.
- Software Skills: Experience with source control software (e.g., Team Foundation Server).
