Job Description:
The Production Consultant will design and implement new information business systems, major modifications to existing systems, or maintenance to existing systems, including the SAP ECC system, and associated interface systems in order to provide management the ability to strategically direct its business to achieve a competitive advantage on a continuous basis. This includes re-engineering of global business processes as required.
Areas of emphasis for a Production Business Analyst will be knowledge in the following Business Processes:
- Master Data, including Work Centers, Routings, Alternative routings, Bills of Material, Serial Number Processing
- Production processing, including Discrete, Make-to-Order, Configure-to-Order, Repetitive and Engineer-to-order
- Production planning processes, including Demand management, Capacity planning, Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP), and Master Scheduling
- Knowledge of external processing, subcontracting, rework and MRP are required.
Governance:
- This position is responsible for project guidance through planning and supervising the development of an information business system application to provide timely implementation within the project budget.
- Maintain knowledge of new and changing technologies, new hardware, new software, and systems techniques that provide the most competitive business tools that support the business strategies by: attending seminars, vendor conferences, trade shows, and education sessions, use of the Internet, and on-site desktop educational courses.
Operations:
- Perform analysis and develop functional business system implementations through departmental requests, utilizing standard system analysis design techniques that meet the needs.
- Provide on-going day-to-day problem resolution, support, and training for the SAP R3 and other systems.
- Plan, Design, Configure, test, document and train in SAP R3 processes
- Perform Data loads as required for SAP ERP implementations (knowledge of LSMW and SAP BAPI’s)
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Strategic Alignment: Design or re-engineer recognized “best practices” business systems that properly and efficiently utilize the SAP R3 systems, being mindful of the global footprint.
Relationship to others:
- Provide on-going support for any configuration related issues
- Support and train the Super user(s).
