The fall recruiting season brought a fast-paced and energizing stretch for the Talent Acquisition team at Black Diamond Networks. From returning to our favorite campuses to exploring new events and strengthening long-standing partnerships, this semester highlighted the true impact of relationship-driven recruiting.
Across multiple states and dozens of school events, our team met hundreds of motivated students ready to learn, connect, and explore career opportunities in sales and recruiting.
Building Connections, One Campus at a Time
Career fairs remain one of the most effective avenues for introducing students to opportunities in staffing, sales, and talent acquisition. This semester, our team engaged with students across a diverse range of academic programs, providing insight into BDN’s culture, training model, and growth-oriented career paths.
As Lead Acquisition & College Relations Specialist, Hannah Clerico says:
“We had a fantastic semester of college recruiting! We were able to attend events that we do every year as well as add some new ones! My favorite part about going to career fairs is interacting with all the students face to face. They are such a great way to get people out of their comfort zones and have real conversations about what career paths would be right for them. I love talking about BDN so it’s so easy to share all the benefits with the students!”
These interactions allowed students to explore career options in a supportive setting while giving our team the opportunity to identify those who demonstrate strong communication skills, coachability, and genuine interest in professional development.
Multi-Day Events and Competitions
In addition to traditional career fairs, the team participated in several multi-day events, including sales competitions and networking programs. These experiences offered students extended opportunities to showcase their abilities while giving our team deeper insight into candidate capabilities.
Hannah Clerico shares:
“We were able to form strong connections with students over several days of networking and competition—not only seeing their talent but getting to know them personally as well. It’s exciting to see some of those same students already joining us as interns and interviewing for full-time roles.”
These longer-format engagements continue to play an essential role in identifying top talent and advancing students through the early stages of the hiring process.

A Standout Partnership: Plymouth State University
Among all campuses visited this fall, Plymouth State University remains one of BDN’s most established and successful partnerships. Through sales competitions, classroom presentations, and ongoing involvement with faculty and student organizations, BDN has maintained a strong presence on campus and created a pipeline of highly qualified candidates.
Manger of Talent Acquisition, Jade Lomanno states:
“Driving up and seeing so many familiar faces truly feel like visiting another BDN office. Our partnership with their sales program is something special; from hosting sales competitions to giving in-class presentations, we’re able to collaborate in meaningful ways that help students grow and help us connect with emerging talent.”
This relationship continues to exemplify how consistent partnership, educational collaboration, and hands-on engagement contribute to long-term recruiting success.
