Job Description:

The client is looking for Laboratory Support Engineer to provide support for the IT Laboratory applications and hardware in support of the research and discovery team by partnering with SMEs and various IT team members to provide solutions that support day to day business operations. This individual will have experience in GMP change control, CAPA and investigations to support day to day operations; experience in software troubleshooting and working knowledge of data integrity principles.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strong communication and customer service delivery with partners and end users
  • Author and support SOPs, WIs, and supporting validation documentation.
  • Support of various lab instrument applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Laboratory information management systems (LIMS), Environmental Monitoring systems, and Quality Management systems.
  • Support the configuration, administration, and operational maintenance activities for site quality systems.
  • Support operations and ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate and site requirements.
  • Support the triage of tickets to ensure lab operations is seamless.
  • Experience working with end users to build best practices into the supported areas.
  • Help trouble-shoot existing software/hardware systems when problems arise,
  • Choose and set up new hardware/software systems that meet the researchers needs (doing research about available options and optimizing to use cases)
  • Ensures the team understands and complies with quality standards and regulatory requirements as per the global documented processes.
  • Recommends changes as it relates to the global infrastructure environment to any hosted or proposed projects.
  • Ensures completion of IT infrastructure project requests by original completion date as determined and assigned during project planning or established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Provides daily support guidance in the areas of infrastructure managed by managed service providers.
    Technical Documentation:

    • Create detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records of project progress, changes, and outcomes.
    • Provide clear documentation for end-users and support teams to ensure proper system usage and troubleshooting.
  • Develop, execute, and track security measures:
    • Implement and monitor security protocols to protect information, network infrastructure, and computer systems.
    • Regularly assess the effectiveness of security measures and adjust as needed.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to security incidents, response times, and system vulnerabilities.
  • Hands-on role, responsible for the support and implementation of Azure and AWS cloud services including infrastructure, machine learning and artificial intelligence platform services.
  • Build cloud-native services to support application teams and contribute to the development of cloud infrastructure automation.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years working either in a biopharmaceutical company or a consulting organization with focus on the life sciences sector.
  • Minimum 5 years working in a Laboratory support-oriented role
  • Experience in the implementation of multi-partner support solutions to address the specific needs of life-sciences remote users.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch
