Job Description:
Our client is in the final stages of a greenfield New Production Facility project and are seeking three 3 Sr Technicians or Engineers who can perform “Start Up” activities for the utilities/process equipment in the Down Stream Processing Lab (Bioreactors/Antigen Production). This would be the 1st time start up for process equipment to Fine tune the process’s, set up operational parameters, and create full traceability from start up so they can move into qualification. Utilities include – Steam – Water- Gas etc. Candidates should have 10+ years’ experience in Start Up Activities- and be fully up to speed with EHS considerations and associated Regulations for Biologic MFG and understand DSP Lab Processes. English is a must, French a big plus and or German This is an autonomous role- no training and little guidance will be available. Candidates must know what needs to be done, how to do it, and be able to contribute quickly. “The StartUp engineer for process equipment will be responsible for all or part of the following subjects: Biotech process package, including tanks, piping, process equipment (pumps, exchangers), associated instrumentation, and control systems.”
Responsibilities:
- Adjust and optimize control systems (temperature, pressure, flow rates, etc.).
- This require knowledge of PID tuning and control systems.
- Verify the proper functioning of automated programs related to critical processes: cleaning in place (CIP), sterilization in place (SIP), and production.
- Be Comfortable with reading complex functional analyses and programming flowcharts (GRAFCET) and advanced handling of supervisory systems.
- Identify and resolve technical or functional discrepancies in collaboration with automation, quality, and production teams.
- Data and result analysis.
- Analysis of P&ID/Understanding of plant-scale installations/piping, tanks, combined valve systems, etc.
- Definition of production recipes and test plans.
- Document test results in compliance with regulatory requirements (GMP).
- Proficiency with computer tools.
Skills:
- Commissioning of process equipment, with extensive experience in commissioning biogenerators equipped with double jackets, filtration skids, ultrafiltration skids, CIP stations, thermal sterilization, etc.
- High proficiency with computer tools.
- English: read, written, and spoken at a professional level
- Autonomy, organizational skills, sense of responsibility
