Job Description:
- Looking for an HEOR SME, RARE DISEASE/Epidemiology Consultant. Director level. Needs to have strong technical experience. Be able to dig deep and find out what the real problems are and fix them. Have Real World Evidence experience. Not be afraid to look at the data and look at the patterns and analysis. Will be developing the protocols and the team will review and guide.
- Design and execute the study with the vendor. Person is not a SAS Programmer or a hardcore Statistician but should have knowledge of it. Quality checking data. Extend real world data – analytic space.
- Must be a self starter. Protocol Development and Lead Studies
- Rare Disease background is a must and some pharma
Requirements:
- Midpoint in their career with 6-9 years experience specifically in industry
- MSc/PhD in epidemiology or health economics
- Has drug launch experience – i.e. developed key deliverables to support US or EU launches – ideally both
- Has good familiarity and working technical knowledge and hands-on experience of US and EU claims databases and registries
- Has developed protocols and executed 5+ epi/heor/RWE studies (natural history, clinical outcomes, healthcare resource use, treatment patterns, etc)
- Has completed studies using electronic medical records/medical charts
- Is able to take technical work and develop high level value messages to suit cross-functional audiences
- Can independently write, review and progress study protocols around epi, RWE(Real World Evidence) and HEOR(Health Economics and Outcomes Assessments)
Preferred Skillsets:
- Rare/ultra rare disease experience
- Great interpersonal and presentation skills
- Able to progress study protocols through close collaboration with key cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. clinical, market access, medical and commercial)
- Knowledge of eCRFs
