Job Description:
Our Pharmaceutical client is urgently seeking a senior level Laboratory Designer with at least 5-7 years of experience to help map out and design their QC Microbiology lab and to assist with equipment selection. This resource must come from a Pharmaceutical background and be knowledgeable in USP regulations 61, 62, 63, and 1111. Equipment selection will involve things such as incubators, autoclaves, Quebec Colony Counters, and more. They have the builders already, so this role is strictly equipment selection and design/layout of the laboratory. The design needs to be complete by Feb 3rd at the latest, so someone with previous lab designing experience that can come in and hit the ground running is crucial.
Skills:
Pharmaceuticals (biotech backgrounds will not be considered), lab design, equipment selection, QC, microbiology
Education:
Experience outweighs education. Must be ready to roll up sleeves and do the work regardless of educational background
Responsibilities:
•Evaluate laboratory facility layout with personnel and sample flow.
•Evaluate cabinetry with equipment placements.
•Evaluate equipment selections for their USP purposes.
•Evaluate the work/activity space by tasks for sufficiency and efficiency. (Media preparation, plating, plate reading, recording data etc.).
