Job Description:

Our client is looking for a senior level Associate Project and Program Manager for a 6-month contract. This person will be assisting the currently Project and Program managers and helping them stay organized with multiple different projects being run at the same time. They will be responsible for working cross functionally with various departments to ensure milestones and deadlines are being hit.



  • Responsible for coordinating, monitoring, dashboarding and reporting project milestones, schedule, budget and resource management information to enable alignment.
  • Contributes to cross functional team meetings by assisting with meeting coordination and output.
  • Directly participates in and contributes to cross-functional and functional teams to discuss, review, and optimize protocol/project/program schedules, resource management and functional cost estimates.
  • Monitors progress of project activities towards next project milestone, anticipates and highlights potential variances, participates in scenario planning, and partners with the PPM and the project team to identify risks and recommend mitigation.
  • Performs scenario planning of project timelines within and across protocols and across portfolio to identify optimal use of budget and resources
  • Contributes to the validation of project timelines, budget and resources.
  • Provides and optimizes reports with timely project schedule, budget and resource information to enable effective portfolio management activities and analysis.
  • Utilizes available reporting and visualization tools to support governance and team reporting needs (e.g. Planisware, Power Bi).
  • Gathers feedback and supports departmental and corporate initiatives for continuous improvement of project schedules, process and reporting.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to ensure cross-team, site learnings, and best practices are shared.
  • Apply best practice project management tools, methodologies, principles, and practices



Required Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in life sciences or a relevant field
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) helpful but not required
  • Industry experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other healthcare related field preferred
  • Project planning and project management experience preferred
  • Experienced with planning and resource forecasting tools (e.g., MS Project, Planisware).
  • Experienced user of reporting and office software (e.g., Power Bi, Excel).
  • Drug Development knowledge with basic understanding of other functions relevant to the position
  • Familiarity with project management tools, methodologies, principles, and practices as related to the biopharmaceutical Industry,
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
