Project duties:
- Design 3 RF power transistors (Macom) bipolar transistors, need to design a 20 watt version, a 40 watt version and an 80 watt version, 420 megahertz is the frequency
- design internal workings of an rf bi-polar transistor
- Low level rf component design
- Replicating old Macom transistors using parts that are available
Additional skills and experience:
- Bare die design
- Semiconductor packaging
- Internal matching network needed
- Modeling of rf characteristics of wire bond and ground transistors
- Design test system for the transistors
- Basic schematic of test circuit is made but they need to build that into a pcb
- Device design and test circuit and test set up
