Job Description:
Client is looking for an experienced Safety consultant to step in and give an assessment of client’s current process safety procedures and look at their EH&S program with a holistic approach. Make recommendations, point out potential shortcomings, and look at their process and procedures with an objective eye. The site does have an EH&S leader, but as client has grown it is looking for someone external to come in and supplement this group to “back” the current leader up. Length of this assignment is up in the air depending on the findings that need correction. Client is expecting some areas within their process that could use improvement so they will lean on this consultant to help them with this work as well (which would elongate the engagement). Looking for 10+ years of relevant experience in EH&S and Process Safety, someone with good communication skills who can assess the situation with an objective eye, review the nuances of the SDS (Safety Data Sheets), make concise and confident decisions. Example areas consultant will be looking at will be their process for each product they make (which are many), the equipment that is being used, their ventilation situation (making sure its optimized and safe). Ideal person comes with background in process safety for chemical manufacturing as well as manufacturing of oils (even oil refinery exp would be relevant).
