Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead all assembly and packaging line startup activities. This individual will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of all technical aspects of product and/or process technology transfer related to new product introduction. The Senior Packaging Engineer will work closely with the MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) group for commissioning, qualification, and validation of new packaging equipment and re-qualification of existing packaging lines. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing URS (User Requirement Specifications) for new equipment and for implementing traceability technology, including sterilization and aggregation.
Responsibilities:
Lead all assembly and packaging line Startup activities for new product introduction including the development and authoring of URS for new equipment
Work closely with the MSAT group for commissioning, qualification, and validation of new packaging equipment and re-qualification of existing packaging lines
Implement traceability technology, including sterilization and aggregation
Design assembly and packaging lines as well as develop technical documentation to support them
Continuously improve the assembly and packaging process using systems such as OEE, TPM, LEAN, or other Continuous Improvement systems
Skills:
At least 8 years of experience in packaging and assembly engineering
Knowledge of various pieces of packaging equipment, such as Kober, Bosch, Marchesini, Ima, Dividella, Bausch & Strobel, Syntegon
Traceability technology knowledge
Experience in Tech Transfer in the pharmaceutical industry, including formulation, sterile filtration, aseptic filling, automated visual inspection, and/or packaging and labeling
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Experience outweighs degree)
